WATCH BAND

Art Deco Platinum and Diamond Watch (signed platinum, Lauret, 17 Jewels, Benrus Watch Co., 8237, Swiss, Model Q71, back of case signed Midwest Platinum, band signed 14k) Item VW9504 Oh my GOSH!! You could have blown me away with a feather when I first saw this gorgeous gleaming platinum and diamond watch. It is magnificent! And rare? Oh my Goodness!! Remember the depression? Well, the lady that owned this jewel apparently didn't suffer much! It is very rare to find a high carat diamond watch from the depression era! And this stunning beauty has 168 sparkling high quality diamonds adding up to a full 3.3 carats of blitz! The watch is from the late 1920s to early 1930s. The outstanding diamond encrusted platinum lugs are to die for! They are made up of 2 sections so that they can bend ever so slightly to mold over the wrist. And although the face was difficult to photograph without a backshine, the face is actually very easy to read in real life and is super super clean. And I love the way the diamond lugs stylishly curve toward the diamond band. The watch has been kept in a vault for approximately 80 years and it is times like this that I wish I, Sassy, made exceptions for the word 'mint'. I have never used that word in a writeup but boy, am I tempted to use it now! Watch is in amazing fabulous super clean condition. The mechanism has been cleaned, oiled, gone over with a fine tooth comb, and adjusted. It keeps time beautifully. The band is made of 14K gold and there are 2 rows of diamonds starting with a horizontal baguette at each end next to the lugs. To call this watch beautiful or outstanding is certainly an understatement. It is one of the nicest ones I have ever had the privilege of owning. Excellent condition. SOLD

CAMEO

Edwardian 14K Gold Cameo (tests positive for 14K gold or higher) Item VC7592 A chaperoned trip to the Continent was the equivalent to a college education for a young lady in the Edwardian Era. What a way to learn, no need to take notes, just absorb the culture, old and new. Circa late 1800s to early 1900s, this magnificent cameo bespeaks of the Edwardian fascination with the Classical world. And who wouldn't be fascinated with the ancient world with antiquities such as this? Rare large cameo measuring 2" by 1 and 5/8" is a not to be missed artifact and perhaps a wealthy debutante's keepsake of her Italian trip. The closer you get the more gorgeous details you see. A stunning 14K rich openwork frame surrounds the exquisite carved portrait. An ancient Sassy Lady is depicted with allurements of her time. Flowers on her gown, her hair is coifed with feathers and tendrils fall onto her tender neck. Her gown drapes seductively from a feathered shoulder strap on one side and flowers holding up the other side. And those clever Edwardian jewelers think of everything. The all 14K gold findings include a pin and flip up pendant bale so you can wear it either way. True to late 1800s style, the pin is longer than the width of the cameo, so watch your delicate fingers tips. Rare circa late 1800s to early 1900s cameo portrait is a keepsake of classic beauty. With 14K gold and stunning details in the carving, a very large size, it's a breathtaking beauty. Magnificent. Excellent condition. $636.00

VICTORIAN

14K GOLD

CAMEO & SEED

PEARL FRAME

Victorian 14K Cameo with Pearl Frame (signed 14k) Item VC9152 There is no piece of jewelry so classically feminine as the cameo. Throughout the centuries, women of high social station have prized these miniature works of art as heirloom treasures and have jealously guarded them as desired tokens of love and adoration. Today's synthetic cameos pale in comparison to the sheer daunting beauty of genuine shell cameos like this Victorian 14k gold and pearl Cameo. Nothing can match the exceptional artistry of a hand-carved shell cameo created by a master. Notice the intricate detail of the dainty beauty that graces this marvelous piece. Her upswept hair, long straight nose and the roses in her hair and on her shoulders all have the hallmarks of a master's touch. The braided 14k gold frame that surrounds this gorgeous lady is laden with natural seed pearls woven among the curling braids. The cameo is a generous size at 2" tall by 1 and 5/8" wide.It can be worn with the bale hidden or the bale up to accommodate a gold chain. Embrace womanly Art du jour. Excellent condition. SOLD

Victorian Jewelry - Art Deco Flapper Cameo signed 14k

ART DECO 14K

FLAPPER CAMEO

1930s

Art Deco Flapper Fashion Queen Cameo (signed 14K) Item VC7458 What makes the ideal woman? Classic cameo makers thought Greco-Roman goddesses were worthy women. I, on the other hand, think that those fabulous Flappers were the bee's knees and you will too once you take a gander at this glamour-filled circa 1930s Art Deco Flapper Cameo. An eager Flapper fashion queen wearing a wide brimmed hat and a risqué off the shoulder dress with two flower corsages is the focus of this exceptional piece, that represents fashion freedom! Carved in relief, she is a stunner! An ornate 14K gold frame surrounds our fashion conscious Flapper who is ever looking toward the next chance to get out and dance. It sits in a beautiful openwork frame... that is, there is an opening all the way around the cameo (which looks like dark enameling in my photo). This stunning cameo has a flip up bale so it can be worn as a pendant or a cameo. It measures 1 and 1/2" long by 1 and 3/16" wide. Pay tribute to the women that helped make stupendous style what it is today with a unique early cameo which was made back then for the now Sassiest of Sassy cameo collectors!
