1940s WESTERN GERMANY VICTORIAN REVIVAL antique ring	Ornate Victorian Revival Crystal Blue Ring (signed Western Germany) Item R4467 When Carole Lombard starred in The Princess Came Across, she decked herself as a countess on the cruise. She looked fantastic and you will too, when you wear Sassy's dramatic, colorful, and ornate blue ring. It was made just after WWII, in the late 1940s in the newly formed Western Germany during a very brief time when Victorian Revival jewelry came in and just before the modernistic 50s. Some of Sassy's favorite jewelry comes from this area and this time period. Gold gilt over brass, very elaborate crown filigree prongs hold in the gorgeous and perfect stone (no chips or cracks). Each prong has 5 tiny little beads. Lattice work filigree forms the outer base of the ring and it that isn't enough, it has a braided band! The mesmerizing foil backed, leaded, cut crystal, royal blue stone is 1" long by a little less than 5/8" wide. The long narrow look slenderizes your pretty finger. The crystal was set in an ornate open back setting that allows you to adjust the ring for a comfortable fit. It is signed West Germany along the inside of the head. In the movie, Carole Lombard's life gets complicated shipboard, while yours might get pretty busy dockside. Extremely ornate, breathtaking, and showy, not to mention RARE!! Excellent condition. Pink gold, high carat diamonds and authentic rubies, circa 1938 to 1942, this ring is a killer!! In all my years of collecting, I have never seen a retro ring with this many carats of diamonds and rubies. A full 1 and 1/2 carats of firey high quality white diamonds and 3/4 carats gorgeous authentic ruby red rubies make up this fabulous find. Normally the high end retro rings from that period have a max of 1/4 to 1/3 of a carat of diamonds. This pink gold 11.6 gram beauty has a center stone alone with a full 1/2 carat marquise! A beautiful rose gold swirl holds 15 rubies and another rose gold swirl swirls along side of them. Peeking over the pink swirls is a bold curved overlap with another 5 diamonds set in white gold. There is also a tail of 2 more diamonds swooshing out the end of the pink gold swirl. Prettier than pretty, this outstanding ring is a size 6 and 1/2 and can be resized for free by my jeweler. SOLD	Art Nouveau Amethyst and Pearl Ring (signed 10K) Item VR6933 Soft. Sensual. Elegant. Refined. The curve embodies so many elements of feminine beauty. Perhaps this is what led to the revolution of the Art Nouveau Era and the creation of this circa 1890s to 1910 Art Nouveau ring. Long, flowing curved lines and the appreciation of womanly charm are two of the key focuses of this amazing short lived artistic era which can be witnessed in the 10K gold design of this dramatic ring.
