Miriam Haskell baroque pearls set the stage but oh my! The magnificent layered centerpiece is the star! Over a large white baroque mabe pearl are layers of smaller pearls that are encircled with either pink or blue glass seed beads. Beautiful colors, these sit on pate' de verre (vocabulary) decorated gold gilt leaves and vines. It is a showy asymetrical 2 and 1/4" tall by 2" wide. The necklace is adjustable from 15" to 16 and 1/2" and closes with a decorative hook clasp and dangling baroque pearls. If that isn't enough, we have the matching co-starring bracelet! It is absolutely magnificent in its own right and doesn't even need a necklace to make its own show. This hard to find elaborate 1950s Haskell parure is tremendously ornate and glamorous. Believed to be by Frank Hess, her top designer and beginning with her signature flower motif, beautiful mother of pearl rosettes studded with emerald green rhinestones are set in fancy gold filigree beauties that hold draping grape like clusters. Each cluster of baroque seed pearls and green glass beads in 3 different colors cascade dramatically from their ornate bases.. prong set flat backed emerald rhinestones set the mood with luster and sparkle. These signature Haskell pearls are in 2 sizes from 6 mm smaller pearls to a classic 8 mm baroque pearl at the bottom. The color is Haskell's elegant off white -- something softer and smokier than her cream colored pearls -- very romantic! There is no doubt that these are genuine Haskell. The rosettes are painstakingly handwired to the ornate filigree gold gilt brass bases. The necklace is 16 and 1/2" long. The clusters are a generous 1 and 1/4" long and the necklace is 1 and 3/4" wide, quite dramatic yet not over the top so you can wear it out for dinner, for a formal event, or to work... that is if you own the place or have a lot of clout. The beautiful green glass is in 3 colors.. translucent emerald green, an opaque pastel blue green with stripes of very light green, and an opaque medium blue green. They are a very generous 1 and 3/4" long, 1 and 1/4" wide, and 3/4" thick clip backs with gorgeous pearls and green glass cascades. STERLING & HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN FLAPPER CAMEOS NECKLACE	Rare Miniature Porcelain and Sterling Cameo Parure (signed sterling) Item SVCP8318 This is an incomparable gathering of Jazz Age socialites ready to enjoy an eternity of delightfully boisterous luncheon chats and elegant evenings in quiet repose. The story that unfolds as you look upon this circa 1920s exceedingly rare miniature porcelain cameo parure is one of good friends, fun and unending dedication. Ten fine ladies have had their vivacious visages lovingly transferred to miniature porcelain plates. The transfer process does an excellent job of conveying both the playful and poised moods of each daring woman. A closeup of the cameos on the right reveals the gaiety of this intriguing sterling silver parure as does this closeup of the left cameos. The bracelet's 4th cameo has a tiny chip. Some of the cameos have a little wear around their edges but no faces are marred. These are a minor flaws for a rare parure this old and does nothing to take away from the overall beauty and dramatic sensationalism of this knockout set! Miriam Haskell is known for her outstanding designs and this jewel pulls out all the stops. Breathtaking gold gilt 3 dimensional medallions with beautiful veined leaves are studded with sensational aurora borealis rhinestones all wired onto a filigree base.
