Sassy SOLD HASKELLESQUE GREEN
CRYSTAL FLORAL
PARURE Stunning Haskellesque
Green Crystal Parure (not signed) Item DHP8863
Dramatic, luscious, drippy green crystal beads flowing from
your neck right down into your cleavage and you thought no
one would notice. HAH! Very very sexy and there are earrings
to match! I truly believe that a little sparkle is not
enough! This necklace and earrings are so lively and
glamorous you will not want to take them off.
Circa
1940s, two strands of vivid true green and emerald green
crystals lead to a totally dazzling ornamental cluster of
colorful glass flowers in shades of pink, yellow, and light
green and decorated with rich emerald green and true green
crystals. The
jeweled cluster gently falls right down there - so very
feminine! The high quality crystals are alive with sparkle
and flash. Each
crystal is separated with 2 tiny brass faceted beads (just
like Haskell separators).
The matinee length necklace measures 24" long and the
centerpiece is 1 and 3/4" long by 1 and 1/2" wide.
The
matching clip back earrings, 1 and 1/2" by 1 and 1/4" repeat
the lush green crystals and an ever so slightly differing
cluster. No chips
or cracks or missing pieces. The shape is more like a floral
bouquet, with gold gilt filigree and glass flowers. The
clasp is at the back. Both pieces are well proportioned and
absolutely stunning. It is crafted with an eye on detail and
high quality. I do recommend you take it off while you sleep
or bathe but otherwise - enjoy. Excellent condition. Price

EARLY MIRIAM
HASKELL NECKLACE BLUEST
BLUE! Early Miriam Haskell
Blue and White Necklace (not signed) Item DHN8016
There's a legend about Miriam Haskell that only the very
privileged have ever heard. They say that one-day, Mother
Nature lent Miriam her magic paintbrush to create a very
special necklace that captured the true essence of nature's
beauty. This blue and white Early Haskell necklace is tinged
with the hues of the sky's bluest blue and the purest white
of the fluffiest clouds in the sky. Pretty white glass
petals and blue berry beads bedazzle and bewitch with their
rich color and effervescent charm. Suspended along a single
strand golden chain, this necklace is 15 and 1/2" long
and
closes with that old spring ring clasp that Miriam always
used on her earlier pieces..
Mother Nature's magic and majesty resides in every
delightful detail of this magnificent Miriam piece!

CELLULOID PARURE Miriam Haskell Turned
Wood Parure (not signed) Item BDHP6499 Fabulous Miriam
Haskell parure has arty style of the haute Bohemian scene,
circa WWII (late 1930s to early 1940s). When Millicent
Rogers chucked her debutante life and set out to be an
artist in Taos, New Mexico where Georgia O'Keefe reined as
the leading art dame, Miriam Haskell responded to the
simpler, more natural approach to life, love and fashion.
Miriam created this wonderfully rich glass bead, wood bell
parure, accented with celluloid leaves and hung on a
fanciful celluloid chain. Now it's 'environmentally
friendly', then it was 'patriotic'. (Metal was needed for
the war effort so she did not use metal during the war.)
Either way, it speaks to the love of a natural aesthetic
grounded in a clever use of unusual jewelry materials.
Overall,
the charming necklace measures 15 and 1/2" long, a little
over 1 and 1/2" wide, and a full 1" thick with bells. It
closes with its original vintage celluloid hook clasp.
The matching
bracelet features the same wooden bell beads, leaves and
tiny glass beads and measures 7 and 1/4" long and also
closes with its original celluloid clasp. Millicent spent
her money on antiques, so much so that she amassed 5,000
pieces her sons placed in a museum when she died. Artfully
understated, and quintessentially Miriam Haskell, this is
parure for your personal art museum. Excellent condition.

PARURE Early Miriam Haskell
Jewel Tones Bracelet & Brooch (not signed, guaranteed
Haskell) Item DHBR8282 Have you ever seen the women
that Miriam Haskell envisioned wearing her jewels? They were
Sassy, classy, smart looking women who looked just as
beautiful whether they had a head for business or headed a
family that looked to their matriarch for guidance, love and
support. Miriam knew that no matter where a woman's path in
life took her, that lady deserved to look like the priceless
treasure she is. This circa late 1930s to early 1940s
(during WWII) Early Miriam Haskell bracelet and brooch will
allow you to become that ideal woman that Miriam knew every
girl or gal seeks to be. Femininity is flaunted for what
it's worth with this pretty floral bracelet that doesn't
mind being bold. Rich colors of red, green, and blue provide
the kind of fireworks you usually have to wait until the 4th
of July to see. Both colorful and clear glass bead petals
blossom as a brilliant centerpiece with clustered
clearfaceted beads taking center stage. The flower is a
dramatic 2 and 1/16" in diameter! Meanwhile, rainbows of
colored round and clear beads streak around your wrist with
striking sparkle and shine. This bracelet is in fabulous
condition without cracks, chips, glue, or breaks.
It
is strung on its original stretchy clear string with silver
bar holders and is still in stellar
condition. It fits
a 5" to 7" wrist. The matching brooch's glass beads are sewn
onto a celluloid backing and it is a showy 2 and 3/4" in
diameter with firework fantasies filling every inch. Are you
the ideal woman? Sassy thinks so! Give yourself the gift of
knowing just how much of a treasure you truly are!

Dear
Claudia, I am glad you recovered!! Enjoy!
Sassy Dear Sassy,
I picked up
the Haskell baroque pearl and butterfly parure at the post
office, could not wait to open it, dove into the box right
there, began hyperventilating and looking around for the
paramedic truck in the parking lot - thought I might need
oxygen! The gorgeousness and perfection of the set was
enough to take my breath away. I created a little jewelry
dressing room of sorts, right there at my post office box.

behind. This brooch has a somewhat Greco-Roman feel and
