Sassy SOLD VICTORIAN HAIR & 14K
GOLD NECKLACE Victorian Hair and
14K Gold Cross Dog Collar (tests positive for 14k
Gold) Item VFCN8530 Sassy's eyes just popped when
she saw this necklace. It is a very rare and exquisite
Victorian mourning necklace from the 1850s and is quite
impressive. Sassy says she hasn't seen one this unusual
and this completely intact in many many years. Oh yes, she
tells me she sees occasional brooches from time to time and
sometimes even a bracelet. But a hair necklace? With a
cross? Never! It was created during the mourning of a loved
one over 150 years ago. The handiwork is high quality in
addition to the beautiful spiritual sentiment it expresses.
The 14K ornate gold center ball is stately, beautiful, and
utilitarian for it closes at the center with a gold squeeze
tube push clasp. The necklace is made of woven chestnut
brown hair. It has a 14K gold and woven hair cross which
dangles from the center. Lacy, and in incredibly great
shape, the necklace has a smaller round gold ball at the
center back and has gold spacers between the open round hair
segments. The hair balls are slightly flattened on the
underside in the back from very gentle wear and this makes
them able to hug the neck more perfectly. At 13 and 1/2"
long, it is meant to wear high on the neck and it can not be
extended. This necklace was highly treasured in the 1850s
and is even more treasured now as it is extremely rare to
find an intact necklace made of hair without any missing
pieces and no damage! I have to tell you, Sassy was
blown away by it; she loves crosses, and couldn't quit
looking at it. Excellent condition. Price $999.00

and Modern masterpieces played by rare and talented
individuals excite you as rising crescendos strive toward
climactic moments in each movement. To enjoy all that life
has to offer seems only natural and Mother Nature has chosen
to offer up even her best for you to wear tonight. This
circa 1920s to 1930s Butterscotch amber necklace is a
decadent feast for the eyes that is nature's own enticing
jewel. The
larger the amber, the more rare it is and the sheer size
of this piece is almost inconceivable. This outstanding
antique amber jewel is polished to perfection, both front
and back and
measures a full 2 and 1/2" long by 1 and 3/8" wide and a
full 7/8" thick!! Graduated faceted beads with natural
cherry inclusions cascade down like glorious rays of

There is jewelry and then there are true gems of the jewelry
world. What Sassy presents to you today is one of those rare
beauties, that sets you apart from every other woman on
Earth. This circa 1920s Victorian Revival carnelian necklace
is such a superb showpiece that no eye will be able to turn
away from it's hypnotic enchantment. Authentic carnelian
drops with rich color and sleek seductive style dart into a
dramatic V that accentuates your womanly curves and
seductive nature. The authentic carnelian drops all have
beautiful slight differences in their translucency. However,
Sassy's camera was too bright in the middle of the photo so
it appears much lighter there than the actual color.
Textured 14K golden orb caps hold each carnelian drop and
dangle from a dainty 14K gold link chain that places full
emphasis on the daring drops. The necklace measures 16" and
closes with a spring ring clasp. This brilliant necklace is

M SOLD 1860s JET
CAMEOS NECKLACE Rare Victorian Jet
Cameo Mourning Necklace (not signed) Item FVCN6945
In the Victorian Era, during the time of Queen Victoria's
mourning for her beloved husband, jewelry made of Jet became
not only required court attire but the influence of the
Queen's court mandate made it fashionable wear for daily
life. This unbelievably beautiful, ornately carved circa
1860s Jet cameo necklace is a museum quality example of the
skilled artisanship of the Victorian Age. A massive chain of
hexagonal links with faceted edging is joined by huge ovals
with faceted edges and intricately etched and carved
designs. This necklace is a piece of artistic mastery, which
is further evidenced by the three astounding cameos ( etched
on both sides of each one) suspended from vertically
aligned circle rings attached to the grandiose chain. Take a
look at the closeup
of the cameos.
This family of fine ladies remain eternally vigilant and at
the ready for the occasion when the Queen might call for
their service. In the interim, they wait at your beckoned
call to serve you as elegant attendants to your own beauty.
These lovely ladies come bearing gifts! Each one of your
ladies-in-waiting has an engraved rose on her cameo's
flipside giving this necklace incredible versatility and
unlimited potential. The center cameo is 2 and 1/4" long and
dangles 3 and 1/4" while the smaller adjacent cameos are 1
and 7/8" long. The 20" long chain still has its original
hidden push clasp intact and it still works very
well. This cameo necklace has some minor scratches here and
there which is entirely appropriate for a piece that is over
140 years old and attests to its authenticity. The fact that
it has survived virtually unscathed to the 21st century is a
testament to the overall craftsmanship and durability of
this rare Victorian necklace. Possess a fascinating piece
with great historical significance and startling beauty when
you purchase this very rare Victorian Jet cameo necklace.
