ENAMELED FLOWER FIGURAL BROOCH	Enameled Flower Brooch Item BF7294 This striking enameled flower has the most beautiful colors. Green and white leaves and the prettiest 3 dimensional robin's egg blue flower with little speckles of pink and yellow. Gorgeous! Sassy was trying to date it and this is what she said: "Enameling was popular in the 1920s and so were flowers. Enameling was again popular in the 1960s. Metal, not counting sterling, was used during the war for wartime efforts from approximately 1938 to 1946. It was not used for jewelry. I do not believe this is from the 20s but it certainly is older than the 60s and most likely later than the end of the war. Therefore, I'm going to say 1950s or so." And then she gave me her smile. (*_*) It's a beauty regardless. The enameling is in superb condition and the colors are outstanding. The central bud is gold plated. 2 and 1/2" by 1 and 1/4". It'll go with just about anything. Take a gander at this darling circa 1940s Lucite and Wood Woodpecker figural and you'll feel a smile come over your face! Lucite was invented in 1939 so this is a fairly early piece that decided to bring both nature and human ingenuity together in whimsical unison! Very colorful, this reddish orange crested bird is ready to perch on your shoulder and light up your life. The head is wood and the reddish yellow crest and orange beak are painted from behind the lucite and pop with vibrant color. The rest of the body is clear lucite that is painted on the back with gold and brown tinged stripes. The brooch is really bold at 4 and 1/2" long and 2 and 1/4" wide. SOLD VICTORIAN DRAGONS FIGURAL NECKLACE	Victorian Enameled Dragons and Pink Stone Necklace (not signed but who cares!) Item VFN8921 It's the dragon that usually captures the beautiful woman, not the other way around. But this very rare antique Victorian necklace will find you compelled to tame the dangerous fantasy creatures and make them your glamorous guardians. This mystifying Victorian enameled dragons necklace, circa late 1800s, is a masterwork of romantic fantasy come to life! Two roaring dragons fiercely guard a single 1" pink, framed stone on each of the necklace's golden openwork panels. Dragons were known to hoard treasures and what a treasure these pink cellulloid cabochon gems are. Could they be dragon eggs or perhaps something even more valuable? A massive round pink stone is nestled in the necklace's centerpiece while white enameled flowers are precociously placed throughout the necklace's length.
