Zulu Colorful Glass Beaded Dangle Brooch (not signed) Item B5787 How did they do that? Thousands of tiny cut glass beads were painstakingly beaded into this phenomenal Dangle brooch. It's incredible. Zulu jewelry is handcrafted by women in South Africa for income generation and proceeds support orphans and other vulnerable children. A circle of white beaded rope frames the tiny posies intricately arrayed on the inside. From the white beaded rope a frou frou beaded splendor dangles so seductively. Excuse me, but you won't see yourself coming and going when you wear this truly vintage work of art. Not a demure little jewel, the piece measures 2" by 3 and ½" long. Sometimes the beads turn and you see the other colors on the back. Interestingly, a single clear bead is beaded right into the mix. Not sure if that is something they normally do or not. And if that bothers you, Sassy's staff can magically turn it white for you. Slightly weighty so you need a suit or lined dress for this one. A little spunky fun, seductively dangling and amazingly beaded. Carmen Miranda sauce with a tony hilt. All the beads are there and secure, no loose ends or missing beads, Sassy wouldn't allow that. If you're looking for run-of-the mill you might want to stand aside because this dazzling circa 1950s Miriam Haskell Amber Demi Parure is going to be on every Haskell collector's Hot List. This is the kind of every day elegance that leaves fashion's most vigilant power brokers gasping for breath thanks to its subtlety and versatility. Capable of capturing attention and appropriate for any situation, this dramatic bracelet is inspired. The bracelet has a braided golden frame surrounding an embellished amber cabochon. The top of the cabochon has a small, three dimensional golden flower in the center. Three strands of round amber beads with fancy golden enders and small golden separators make this an entirely attractive bracelet with the top row of beads being the largest. The bracelet is 7 and 1/2" long and the centerpiece is 1 and 1/4" in diameter and closes with a hidden push clasp at the front. Enameled Flower Brooch Item BF7294 This striking enameled flower has the mostbeautiful colors. Green and white leaves and the prettiest 3 dimensional robin's egg blue flower with little speckles of pink and yellow. Gorgeous! Sassy was trying to date it and this is what she said: "Enameling was popular in the 1920s and so were flowers. Enameling was again popular in the 1960s. Metal, not counting sterling, was used during the war for wartime efforts from approximately 1938 to 1946. It was not used for jewelry. I do not believe this is from the 20s but it certainly is older than the 60s and most likely later than the end of the war. Therefore, I'm going to say 1950s or so." And then she gave me her smile. (*_*) It's a beauty regardless. The enameling is in superb condition and the colors are outstanding. The central bud is gold plated. 2 and 1/2" by 1 and 1/4". It'll go with just about anything.
