This set is what the collector dreams of finding and owning. The quality and allure of these beauties are instantly recognizable as something out of the ordinary. The color, the materials the design - all top notch and is one of of those sets that is emblematic of the best designs of the 20th century. Circa 1940s, a central red enameled flower of vivid perfect true red (not orange red or pink red or brown red) is accented with green enameled leaves and studded with gorgeous bezel set rhinestones lending a regal opulence to the pieces. The fur clip measures 2" by 7/8" by 1 and 3/4" and the bracelet repeats the design and has pave' rhinestones. It is 6 and 1/2" long and just a hair under 1" wide. The use of vivid enameling in contrasting colors combined with rhinestones from the art deco era are characteristic of the most desired Trifari and are wonderfully combined in this set to create a loose mix of art deco and Victorian influences matched with mid-century tastes. Designer Olive Inverted Rhinestones Brooch (signed but unable to read signature) Item B6527 What a treasure! This outstanding designer brooch is gorgeous! It starts with an extra large (over 1/2") inverted olive green rhinestone center with interesting extra little facets around the sides that give it extra flash. Surrounded with enormous 11/16" oval rhinestones and medium sized round inverted rhinestones. Lots of sparkle and all the stones are in fantastic condition and are foil backed. A generous 1 and 7/8" in diameter, it is slightly domed. Weiss and Schreiner both used inverted stones. I am unable to read the designer name which appears to have either 5 or 6 letters. However, by the quality of the piece, it is an obvious high end designer. It is from a Scottsdale estate and is from the 1950s. Excellent condition. Price $84.00 SOLD |
