Sassy says it is even prettier in person because each sparkle on the diamond covered face takes turns twinkling. Just as Julie Christie played a beautiful jet-setter in the 1966 movie "Darling", you'll be a star of the paparazzi when you slip this knock-out 18K yellow gold filigree watch of the same vintage on your lovely wrist. The 18K gold band along with a dazzling constellation of 28 diamonds on the rim add up to 8/10 of a carat and if you include the diamond covered face, there are 90 diamonds altogether. Sassy kept getting blinded trying to count them individually because they sparkle and with the added illusion heads (vocabulary), they absolutely cover the face. The head of the watch is a showy 7/8" in diameter. The diamonds add up to over 1.25 carats and actually look like 3 or 4 carats! No numbers to detract here, just 2 streamlined gold hands that point to diamonds. Who needs numbers, really! The band and watch are fully integrated and measure an adjustable 6" to 6 and 1/4" long and Sassy's jeweler can add a little extension if needed. The clasp is a sleek foldover style so that nothing detracts from the overall glamorous linearity. The stem is a sapphire stem. The watch is 41.9 grams. Baume & Mercier is considered one of the highest quality timepieces in the world and is right up there with Rolex. Naturally a high caliber Swiss watch with 17 jewels keeps perfect time, whether you're meeting someone at your private plane or the neighborhood cineplex. It is a Baume and Mercier after all! Baume & Mercier Geneve 18K solid gold watch (signed Baume & Mercier, Geneve, 18K gold, 0.750, an eagle's head indicating 18K gold from France, 17 jewels, Swiss) DBW8191 From a wealthy woman's estate in Venice, California, comes this incredibly fabulous high quality watch. They don't come any better than Baume & Mercier! This stylish beauty was purchased in Paris, France sometime between 1960 and 1965. This unique breathtaking 18K solid gold beauty is sooo avante garde, I just love it! The Sassier than Sassy horizontal oval is to die for! It is sooo sleek. The hours are marked with Roman numerals that are displayed in a wonderfully imaginative oval design with the numerals closer together across the top and bottom, and of course spaced further apart on the sides. What an imaginative design... The head of the watch sits in a fabulous long rectangular open lug design. Now how 1960s can you get?! I mean really! The lugs setting is a dramatic 1 and 3/8" long by 3/4" wide. The oval watch is 15/16" by 7/16". The high grade mechanical works have 17 ruby jewels and run like a well oiled machine keeping perfect time. It has a smooth winding mechanism and a sapphire crown stone stem which is cleverly placed at the bottom of the watch. It has its beautiful original black lizard band and I do believe the lady must have kept it in a vault. It will fit a 5 and 5/8" to 7 and 1/2" wrist. You will never see another timepiece like this beauty! Highly sought after incomparable design. Absolutely breathtaking!! Excellent condition. Price $3255.00
