It is 15" long, quite unique, and still has the original cellulloid hook clasp which is quite rare to find. Very feminine and striking. My camera (with my expertise) can not capture the true color which is somewhere between a muted light lemon yellow and a muted yellow gold (not as bright yellow as my photo). The roses have lots of detail with perfect little petals and the necklace has its original stringing which is still in great condition. Bakelite Carmen Miranda Necklace (not signed) Item N3230 The day I purchased this necklace was right after I said, "I am not buying anything today unless it is rare, gorgeous, and makes me giggle in delight." Teeheeehee, giggle giggle. Carmen Miranda, eat your heart out!!  RARELY do you see a complex necklace with a knockout bakelite saucer of glass fruit and flowers appearing in the market place! There were very few of these ever produced originally and even less are still intact today. Name your favorite color and it is represented in this eye-catching, princess length, elaborate glass necklace dripping in all of your favorite fruits. It includes wired on grape clusters, bananas, pomegranates, passion fruit, flowers, and some colorful unidentified fruits and vegetables. Lining the necklace on both sides, very symmetrically, are carrot colored leaves, yellow and red flowers, raspberry, yellow, and burgundy objects of poured glass and only one leaf is missing. Moss green Bakelite End of Day baubles with a fabulous patina and green poured glass leaves decorate this incredible necklace and I am still smiling!! At 18" long and the medallion hangs another 2", this is not a necklace for the timid. A tad on the dramatic side, you can stop the show with this very rare and collectible masterpiece. SOLD CELLULOID PARURE	Art Deco Green Celluloid and Bakelite Parure (not signed) Item BP98944 It's hard enough to find a 1930s art deco necklace. But to find the matching earrings? Well! That's close to impossible! This great looking parure is from the late 1930s. The triangles are celluloid and the black disc beads are Bakelite. The earrings have a raised black stripe and it is too narrow for me to be able to tell if it is celluloid or Bakelite. But boy, what a statement this beautiful set makes! It is slightly translucent and the triangles are thicker at the top and thinner at their points. Great architectural design. Very deco. The necklace closes with its original screw barrel clasp. The necklace is 17 and 1/2". The earrings are 1 and 1/8" by 7/8" and are clip backs. The set is the prettiest color of pine green. Excellent condition. Price $225.00 SOLD
MIRIAM HASKELL WOOD, GLASS, & CELLULOID PARURE	Miriam Haskell Turned Wood Parure (not signed) Item BDHP6499 Fabulous Miriam Haskell parure has arty style of the haute Bohemian scene, circa WWII (late 1930s to early 1940s). When Millicent Rogers chucked her debutante life and set out to be an artist in Taos, New Mexico where Georgia O'Keefe reined as the leading art dame, Miriam Haskell responded to the simpler, more natural approach to life, love and fashion. Miriam created this wonderfully rich glass bead, wood bell parure, accented with celluloid leaves and hung on a fanciful celluloid chain. Now it's 'environmentally friendly', then it was 'patriotic'. (Metal was needed for the war effort so she did not use metal during the war.) Either way, it speaks to the love of a natural aesthetic grounded in a clever use of unusual jewelry materials. Overall, the charming necklace measures 15 and 1/2" long, a little over 1 and 1/2" wide, and a full 1" thick with bells. It closes with its original vintage celluloid hook clasp. The matching bracelet features the same wooden bell beads, leaves and tiny glass beads and measures 7 and 1/4" long and also closes with its original celluloid clasp. Millicent spent her money on antiques, so much so that she amassed 5,000 pieces her sons placed in a museum when she died.
